after reading the reviews of this product i almost feel like i got a bad one. i hated this. it was yellow & super cakey. i couldn't believe how bad it looked.

As a licensed esthetician of 7 years, my expertise is primarily in skincare, but I dabble a bit with makeup -- not so much with clients, but I love to apply it on myself! I don't wear much during the weekdays - mostly just some bronzer, blush and mascara, but if I am going out to dinner or to an event, I will definitely put on some sheer to medium coverage foundation and setting products as well. Normally my go-to setting products are sprays, and I tend to mostly stay away from powders, as my job is pretty physical and I am active throughout the day and I don't want my powder to settle into my fine lines or get cakey. However, once I tried the Hydro Blot Loose Powder from CLE Cosmetics, my mind was immediately changed. This powder is unlike anything I'd ever experienced before, and believe me, I had to try a LOT of powders in order to determine that I hated them! All it took was one use of this blotting/setting powder, and I now am definitely a "powder girl." I like to use this powder once my foundation or cc cream has been applied, to "seal" my t-zone (i.e. everywhere I would normally get oily by noon), and I also find it useful to "set" my concealer over any breakouts I might have. (This is especially useful for the kind of pimples that refuse to come to a head that you just have to wait out.)I would recommend this powder to anyone looking to prevent shiny, oily skin throughout the day. It is also great for those who are prone to acne, as this is a clean mineral based powder, which is the safest type of makeup for acne prone individuals.

My makeup aesthetic is real, skin-like finish with medium to full coverage and its ALL about the powder and how its set. As someone who has been in the beauty world for 10 years Ive gotten to opportunity of trying a variety of different products. Over the years I think Ive only seen about 2 hydro-setting powders which truly speaks to how unique this product is. First off be aware that this product is very small sized, unlike most setting powders this is about travel sized. Also this product is geared towards those that are more on the oily side of skin so when it says hydro its not like a hydrating setting powder. As someone who has dry skin I felt this a little less useful for me but still was very excited to try it. I have personally only used it on the T-zone area (mostly around the nose) because if I ever get any oil thats where I get it. It was very nice feeling as it went on, it has a cooling effect and almost feels wet but dries down pretty quickly with a satin/matte finish. It smoothed my skin and gave my pores an airbrushed look. It held up my makeup for over 12 hours and did everything I hoped it would! So I liked this but as a dry girly I dont think it would work all over my face. Overall great product!

Im erika, Ive been with Beautytap for close to 2 years. I have been a cosmetologist for 10+ years now, and Ive been afforded the opportunity to try out a lot of products. One of my favorite parts about being an expert with beautytap is getting to try products I wouldnt have otherwise had the chance to! Beautytap has been an incredible blessing in my life and Im thrilled to share my experiences with others!I found that I loved the feeling of this powder on my skin, as it felt soothing and cooling. But I didnt find it too smoothing under my eyes, or blurring. I also didnt find it to control my oil very well. I did like setting small areas with it, but I did find it hard to use with such a small applicator and a tiny amount of product.

Hello all! As both a beauty expert and a woman over 45, finding a good setting powder can be quite a mission. Most of the time, I opt to skip setting powder altogether because no matter the brand or ingredients, I can't find one that agrees with my eye wrinkles. The powder just settles into my fine lines and within about a half hour I am full of creases that tend to make me look older than I did prior to applying setting powder. So, for me, that's usually a no-go. But I'm always hopeful that I'll find a powder that doesn't cake up like that, so I wanted to give CLE Cosmetics Hydro Blot Loose Powder a try. The addition of hyaluronic acid caught my eye and the fact that the powder has a powder-to-liquid finish. While I, personally, would be unlikely to use the product again, I do think it could be beneficial for someone with younger skin and fewer fine lines. It does provide the blur effect it claims to, but the effect just doesn't last long enough for someone like me. It's certainly a few steps above other brands I've tried but still doesn't quite reach the level of smoothing that I need.

I love a mate look now and then, but my go-to is a look with a soft, healthy glow. This powder does exactly that. Over their CCC cream, I get enough coverage to last the day, but it hardly feels like I'm wearing makeup at all! As someone who doesnt wear a ton of makeup but does enjoy a natural look for everyday, I love the way this powder feels and sets. Im usually in a hurry to get ready in the mornings so I do a quick skincare routine and add light tinted moisturizer but I do like to set it with a powder because I tend to sweat a little on my face and I find that adding a powder helps with that. This powder feels so nice. The texture is very smooth and velvety. It also looks beautiful on the skin, it doesnt look chalky. It does not alter the shade of my tinted moisturizer or foundations Ive tried it with. The finish is just how I like my makeup to look, very glowy and natural. Its a semi-matte, which I found to really prefer and enjoy. I like the applicator it comes with but I also use a brush and enjoy that as well.

Always having oily skin has not been a great characteristic of myself and have never been very comfortable about it. This product is one that really does help with that issue in particular. I have oily skin around my T zones and this is not only able to eliminate that shiny greasy look but it also works great as a setting powder. I am a full time hairstylist and part time makeup artist so I have tried plenty of different products. There was a specific product very similar to this one in a line I used to always buy for myself and after Covid that specific brand went out of business so I am elated to have found something so similar and that works so well. It feels amazing on your face like you are almost dabbing it with water hence the name hydro blot, but it blends well and I highly recommend it!

As a Makeup Artist and Beauty Educator, I have lived on using loose powder to set my and my Clients makeup for years. There has not been enough hydrating options of loose powders as I have tried and tested out many in my years of being in the Beauty industry. This CLE Cosmetics Hydro Blot Loose Powder is not only hydrating infused with one of my favorite ingredients, hylauronic acid, but also blurs any imperfections on the skin and also has a great and refreshing cooling feeling to the touch once applied onto the skin. I first applied the powder with a big soft fluffy brush on just a few areas of my face (as I dont like to use a lot of powder on myself as I am a dry skin type), and just to take the extra shine from my foundation down. I then took my fingers to smooth a little bit of powder over my pores (a great tip and way to minimize the look of any pores) so I can definitely contest that it does not make your skin look dry, too matte or textured even when applying more powder on certain areas of the face. My skin still looked healthy, radiant and smooth after using this powder! I am so happy to have tried this as I will definitely be using it on myself and purchasing another one to have in my kit to use on my clients as well!
