Im so grateful to have found Shea Moisture Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Shampoo. This shampoo cured my dry itchy scalp and strengthened my fine thinning hair. I was looking for a sulfate free , silicone free, and natural shampoo with coconut oil. I feel good about the moisture it leaves in my hair knowing that its all natural and won't cause build up and will help with hair growth. I used another expensive, well known brand for years and realized its been the cause of my scalp irritation and hair shedding. Shea Moisture Coconut oil shampoo is giving me hair like when I was in my 20's. People have even mentioned how great it looks. I think the negative reviews you may read have to do with the conditioner. Instead I use a detangling conditioner along with it. The shampoo however is wonderful! Thank you!

I understand the other reviews because I have very different hair than most. I am 60& and was using Wen $$$$ products and even with this I still used Wen styling cream as soon as I have towel dried my hair. It made my normally frizzy and dry (with anything but wen) nice and shiny which is a big deal for my very very fine hair. I will buy this again for sure.

I washed my hair with it once and afterwards when it was dry it was left feeling waxy and kind of stiff. At first I thought maybe I hadn't washed it out enough. So I tried to use the shampoo a second time, even making sure I washed it out twice as long as the first time. My hair still ended up feeling waxy after it dried. I don't understand, the ingredients seem to be natural and organic yet I can say it's the worst shampoo I've ever used. I have long wavy hair, so maybe I'm just not the right kind of hair type?

I bought this shampoo and conditioner from Costco so I spent about $40 for these products. I heard such good things about it and was so excited to start using them. But after I used them twice it left a filmy like greasy residue like I didn't rinse my hair out thoroughly. My hair never felt more dirty. I am so disappointed and angry that I spent so much money for nothing.

I know this is a high quality Shampoo and Conditioner but it's doing something strange to my hair and my 6 year olds hair. It works well on my 10 year olds hair. I wash and rinse thoroughly, but after drying I feel like there is a residue left over on the crown of my head. It does not feel clean. The same happens for my six year old. It visibly looks unwashed. My 10 year old has long hair and when I wash his hair, it looks and FEELS clean. What do you suppose is going on? I really love the smell and want to use this to help grow my hair out.

This shampoo makes your hair feel gummy and greasy. I read the directions and made sure to leave it in for a certain amount of time; however, my hair ended up feeling greasy and looking greasy after it being fully air dried. This product is not worth the money, and to be completely honest is a very poor quality. One dollar shampoos could do a better job at cleaning hair than this “high end” shampoo did.

I have never used a product that has left my hair this gross to touch. Even after attempting to thoroughly rinse, there is still a sticky chalky, repulsive residue. My hairstylist said it feels like silicone. I will be asking Costco to remove this product.

I'm not sure if it's my hair type, but no where on the bottle does it specify what hair types. Regardless, it makes my hair look and smell great, but it feels NASTY. It feel waxy and sticky. I has originally thought I hadn't rinsed it out, so I washed it again. Still sticky and waxy. I'm so confused.
