I only wash my face at night, followed by differin, then Moisturizer. I decided to switch from another brand to Paula Choice and decided on this cleanser since my skin is acne prone. The first week I really liked it and it left my face feeling clean, but not too dry. However, a few days ago I noticed around my mouth getting dry and flaky which has never happened before. I stopped using the differin and it didn't improve. Tonight, I washed my face in the shower and left the cleanser on my face for a few minutes while washing my hair (something I've done with other cleansers in the past, no problem). Unfortunately, it started stinging so I rinsed it off and ended up with burned and really irritated skin all over my face. My skin usually isn't sensitive so I'm pretty bummed out about this.

I have acne-prone skin/ sensitive skin /oily skin. And I have to say this stuff made my skin dry, it made it so dry that it started to itch. Plus after months of using it, there was no progress with my skin. I had to switch to another brand.

This was not for me, I bought this reading all the good reviews about how it eliminates acne and so forth however it has dried out my skin. The first couple tries it left my skin soft but now its just so drying my skin had started to flake and peel, nothing is helping to get the moisture back. I do not recommend this product to anyone with that has sensitive skin.

I have oily and acne-prone skin, and I couldn't find a cleanser to save my life. I tried Tatcha, Biossance, so many brands that I can't even remember right now. I found this cleaner on accident just because someone had recommended me the 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, and I was browsing in the website to find a new cleanser! I just wanted to try it out to see if my skin would like it, and let me tell you my skin loves it! I don't really ever breakout anymore, I'm less oily, my skin is just glowing and alive again. I used this cleanser for the first time this morning and saw improvement with pores. I examined my face really well before cleansing to see if I would see a difference. And yes I did! Some of the very tiny pores that had blackheads disappeared upon cleansing. Can't wait to see more disappear tonight when using this product. I also used the pore toner after cleansing, a good combo. Cant wait to receive the mineral sunscreen that has such great reviews. Thank you Paula.

I first bought this cleanser as part of the regular strength set in high school and have repurchased the cleanser at least 4 times. I have struggled with acne on my chin and forehead severe enough to be noticeable and affect my self esteem but too mild warrant accutane. Now 22, I have been using this cleanser in conjunction with the zo skin health oil control acne pads with 2% salicylic acid for the past year and a half. For the longest time I thought the oil control pads were what was keeping my skin at bay (and foolishly believed maybe I was passed my persistent acne years), but when I ran out of this cleanser in December and began using the inkey list sa cleanser, my acne reemerged and I noticed more regular flare ups. I finally decided to reorder the cleanser and am hoping it will restore my skin. The cleanser is quite gentle for being acne fighting, it is not drying and suds up nicely (which psychologically makes me think its doing a good job haha). The zo skin pads are also quite expensive so I I repurchased the regular strength 2% salicylic acid toner from the clear line to use in conjunction and hope it will give me the same results. I thought cleanser was not an important step in skin care as it has such short contact but his is definitely a must have cleanser!

I used twice this product. The first time when I used it, my skin started to peel off I thought it maybe due to the cold weather. The second time I used , my skin started to get burned and irritated. Now my skin is having very dried and wrinkled. I had a high hope for this product but it didn't work on me. I am so disappointed because it ruined my skin and I don't know if I will get back to normal or not.

Love this product and will never go back to using cheap drug store products. I use this cleanser with a special holiday pore reducing kit (toner, exfoliant, and niacinamide serum). After about two weeks of consistent use, I've noted a significant difference in my pore sizes. I've used pore reducing cleansers and toners from drug stores, but they never made a difference. I am absolutely sold and in love with PC products.

Additionally, these products have a made a HUGE difference in the texture of my skin. My skin is much more smooth and I'm also less prone to breakouts from wearing face masks all day at work.

I used this cleanser for a few weeks with other PC products. At first, it seemed fine, if a little drying. However, around the third week of using this product I noticed that anything I used after washing my face burned, even a non-PC product that never caused irritation before. At first I thought it was the toner or BHA exfoliant but after cutting those out it was still happening. Finally, I switched out my face wash to a product I had used before and all was well again.

If you have even midly sensitive skin, don't use this cleanser.
