Used it daily for a several weeks and loved it, seeing a noticeable tightening and smoothing of facial skin. Then the redness started. I quit using for a month, and tried it again (thinking maybe I'll just use it once a week). The very next day I woke up with large red, itchy, burning welts (hives?) on my jawline, chin and around my mouth. I don't consider my skin sensitive, but it sure was to this. Currently taking antihistamines to calm it down and try to get rid of it. So disappointing, as I really liked what it did the first couple weeks.

I bought this product along with many other products from this brand. My skin has cleared up and become more smooth. This product however went bad after only a month or two. It turned a yellowish color and after researching it means it has oxidized and won't have beneficial effects anymore.

I have used this product for years without issue. Recently, I started breaking out in whelps on my face that are raw and SUPER itchy. After taking a break from products for a few days, I went back to my regime and realized it was this serum. After reading reviews, others are having this same issue. Did you change your formula without telling your customers or is this a bad batch that should be recalled? Either way, this is a known issue that is new and should be addressed by the company.

I love this product and it's become a staple for my routine. I put this one once a week to post-dermaplanned skin (really helps with healing cuts and scrapes). I put the 2% BHA solution on top after and seal with a heavy moisturizer. I wake up with the BEST skin after. It is so worth it. I've tried other Vitamin C products, but this is by far the best. Worth the money.

I was using a vitamin c serum that costed nearly 4x the price of this. Paula's Choice is just as effective without hurting my wallet.

This vitamin C serum has definitely faded some of my acne discolorations and evened out and brightened my skin tone. However, this serum is runny and dries quickly, and I have to use a lot of the product to cover my entire face. I have used similarly effective vitamin C products before that are cheaper. So it's not that this serum is ineffective but rather that I consider it a little overpriced for the results it gives.

I've been using this product for about a month now and I would like share my personal experience. My skin is on the dry side and I do not have sensitive skin. However, I am new to vitamin c and when using vitamin c in the past, I've always felt a sensation of irritation. Due to this I've been reluctant to included it in my skin care routine. I've decided to start back including it into my routine because vitamin c has so many benefits and I love the way it brighten my skin. My advice to many viewers is to please read the instructions, and read the questions and answers on this website. This formula is pretty strong for my skin. Since I am a new beginner I've tried using this product several different ways and my skin can only tolerate it when it is mixed with a serum. When I placed the formula directly into my bare skin (as if it was a serum), my skin begans to feel dry and irritated for the remainder of the day. I've tried using it twice per day morning and night and I've experience the same skin irritation. My skin does not turn red or peel but it does feel tight and sensitive for a day or two. On the bright side, my skin absolutely looks brighten when applied directly to my skin but the con is the discomfort. Maybe at some point my skin will build a tolerance. 2-3 drops is truly the most my skin can tolerate when mix with a serum. The formula is thin therefore it is easy to mix with serums or moisturizer. I do not too much care for packaging due to the potential of oxidation. The benefits of this product is it does what It claims and it does brighten and provide a youthful glow. I am not sure if I would repurchase due to potency of this serum but then again maybe all vitamin c's come with this risk of irritation. Once again, please read and follow the instructions on this website and read the questions and answer section so you can maximize the benefits. By the way, I've purchase this product with my own funds.

I have used this product before too. I bought my 3rd bottle a month ago. Suddenly, my skin started acting different. I used to apply couple drops around my eyes too and before eye cream. But this time, my eyes were getting irritated. So I stopped using them around eyes. Then my cheeks, area around mouth & forehead started having rashes. I had the same routine for 7 months & suddenly my skin started getting worse. I'm very disappointed! it takes months of patience to clear skin. My skin feels so burnt & flaky.

If you have sensitive skin you may want to avoid this. I was excited to try this, I love Paula's choice and have used them for years. This product was the first to give me a bad reaction. My face became red, extremely itchy, swelled up and had hives. Two dose's of Benadryl and still not completely over it.from now on I'll be avoiding the Vit C.
