This stuff is amazing. I'm just so mad I didn't know about azelaic acid sooner - or that salicylic acid as a leave on product can help unclog pores. What the heck! Plus it's already starting to noticeably brighten my skin and fade my sun spots. After double cleansing with an oil based balm and a gentle water based cleanser, I've been applying a moisturizing toner, a hyaluronic acid serum, then a thin layer of this booster, then lastly my thick nighttime moisturizer on top. It's just amazing. Just be careful around the delicate eye area not to accidentally rub it too close to the eyes.

Two post acne red spots on my chin. I ordered this item with skepticism as I have not heard of this brand before. It has been only two weeks plus, but they are fading- noticeably lighter. No reviews posted before, but I felt the need to share my experience for those with acne scars thinking about this purchase but unsure. It did work for me great. So kudos to Paula's Choice. Hopefully, it will get rid of these blemishes soon.

I wish I hadn't bought this product! I barely had acnes and I wanted to fade some minor acne scars, but the day after I started applying this on my skin, I had painful and huge pimples on my cheek. As for skin products people say the skin should get used to a new substance and sudden acne after using is natural, I continued using this and I really wish I hadn't. I did use it twice a week and I had more breakouts. I am very disappointed. This was my first try from Paula since I had heard lots of compliments on its azelaic acid. Now I should look for acne treatments and acne scar faders! Me that never had severe acne issues! Shame.

This is my third purchase of the PC Azelaic Acid Booster. I used to swear by this stuff and loved it from the first time I ordered a sample size of the product. It would calm my skin and help with texture and redness and wore beautifully under makeup. I reordered my third tube and now I notice redness and some sensitivity with some stinging that lasts for a while after application. I have had to exclude it from my skincare routine. Not sure if I received a bad batch or what has happened. I gave it 3 stars because it used to work so well for me. I may try using it as a spot treatment, especially for my nose. If you're curious, order the small size first to see how you tolerate it.

I recently began having problems with a bumpy, acne-prone forehead. I tried multiple different things before trying this product and never seemed to find anything to control or improve the bumps. I noticed an improvement in the bumps and acne within a few days of using this product! I have now been using it for about a month and have had a drastic improvement in the appearance of my skin (fewer breakouts, smoother skin on my forehead). I have extremely sensitive and redness-prone skin and this product does not irritate my skin at all. I use it once or twice daily and have had no issues with irritation.

I ordered this product to help fade some sun spots on my face. What a huge mistake! I wish I had read the reviews. I mixed this product in with my CALM PM moisturizer (which has always been totally gentle on my skin) and after a few days of use, I had beet-red, dry patches on my skin that burned and itched like I had been out in the Summer sun for 12 hours without sunscreen! Even after two weeks of discontinued use, my skin is *still* recovering. I'm not using any AHAs or BHAs on my skin and my cleanser, toner and moisturizer are all Paula's Choice CALM products. I'm afraid to try anything new or different but I don't know what to do for my dry, dehydrated and painfully burned skin! I don't know if I can trust this brand to save my skin from the damage that has been done.

I am so annoyed I didn't find this product a couple years ago when I moved to LA (horrible water) & would get all red & raw mostly in the cheeks and nothing would help. I had a shower filter, an elaborate skincare routine & started getting IPL facials ($400 each) which would help a bit but then my skin would look the same a few weeks later. This product, WOW. In just ONE use my skin tone was almost completely even again with very little redness. I've been using it for about a month now & it's still getting better and staying that way! I will never stop using this!

I was so excited to branch out and try this product that was recommended by a PC rep. I gave it a good two weeks of using it to make sure my skin didn't just need to adjust to a new product, but every time I used it, I woke up the next morning with red, bumpy, irritated skin. I've stopped using it and the irritation has stopped. I guess I will just stick to my tried and trues- 10% Niacinamide (which is MAGIC for red skin) and using the 0.3% retinol + 0.2% bakuchiol treatment every other night.

It's crazy how well this stuff works. I have struggled with rosacea and non-inflammed but persistent closed comedones on my on my chin and around my mouth. My beloved Paula's Choice BHA did nothing for them and neither did prescription tretinoin. I finally decided to try a tiny travel tube I had bought of this azelaic acid booster to keep in my travel kit. The bumps weren't completely gone overnight, but it has helped the texture of my skin quite a bit. And, wonder of wonders, the general red flush to my face is almost gone. cheeks, chin, and mouth are white again, and the redness on my nose is greatly reduced. I have used other azelaic formulas in the past, but this one is by far the nicest to apply and it feels like it absorbs much better. For some reason a lot of azelaic acids have a thick, gritty texture that you have to fight to spread onto your face. Currently I've been using this in the morning after washing my face, under my moisturizer. I'm avoiding other actives at night right now while I get IPL treatments, so at night I cleanse and moisturize. Ordering a full size right away!
